the Fourth Bulgarian National Conference in Music Therapy with international presenters
ON THE TOPIC OF:
Music Therapy: Intersection Spaces
Our conference is oriented towards the sharing of professional experience in the usage of music therapy practice and other approaches, applying arts in the field of psychotherapy, clinical pratice and self-reflection.
Music therapy today is a scientific discipline, using the capabilities of music as an universal language for personal and spontaneous expression of feelings, and triggering the creative nature and spontaneity of individuals.
Music is also present as a mediator in a number of other therapeutic approaches, which are using the effect of arts on human psyche: art therapy, dance therapy, musical psychodrama, etc.
Applying arts for therapeutic purposes has been proved empirically and can have a powerful influence on the betterment of mental health.
The conference gives the opportunity of personal encounter and the experience sharing, at the points of intersection of those therapeutic spaces and practices, in which music is involved: clinical music therapy, musical psychotherapy, and psychosocial work with children and adults. We kindly invite researchers, clinical professionals and therapists to present their achievements and experience.
